India seals an easy victory against West Indies in the First test match at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. This is India’s first ever inning victory in West Indies. Ashwin took 7 wickets in second innings. He is now the only all rounder for India to score a century and took 5 wickets in the match for twice. Virat Kohli also scored his first double century in his career in first innings of the match between India v West Indies.
In reply of India’s 566 for runs in first innings, West Indies are bowled out twice in the match without any impressive performance by the batters. West Indies scores 243 in the first innings. K Brathwaite scores 74 runs while Dowrich scored 57 runs not out. For India it was Yadav who took 4 for 41, Shami also took 4 for 66 after his return from injury.
After enforcing follow on West Indies started their second innings but the condition was even worst for them. They bowled out for just 231 runs on the board and loss the match by an innings and 92 runs. K Brathwaite once again scores 51 runs not out. Samules scored 50.
For India it was Ashwin took 7 for 83 in second innings. Remember Ashwin also scored a century in first innings. For his wonderful performance both with the bat and bowl, scoring 113 runs and taking 7 wickets in match for 126 runs R. Ashwin was named man of the match.
